Al-Munir Farms

Al-Munir Farms is a vibrant urban agritourism destination in Newark, NJ, operated by Al-Munir LLC. Our two primary sites—Eden’s Farm in the South Broad Street neighborhood and Jannah on Grafton in the North Ward—offer immersive, educational, and culturally relevant experiences centered around food justice, ecological sustainability, and community wellness. We host a wide range of public programs including farm tours, sustainable agriculture workshops, pollinator walks, community harvest events, and culturally affirming cooking demos. Our work is rooted in Black, Indigenous, and Afro-diasporic traditions, and features ethnobotanical crops from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, North America, and the Indian Subcontinent. As a SARE-funded research site and participant in the USDA’s EQIP and SNAP-Ed programs, Al-Munir Farms also serves as a model for regenerative agriculture and community-led research. We welcome school groups, families, and civic organizations to visit us.
