RipeNearby is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no login, and nothing you do here is tied to a profile we hold.

What we store about you
Nothing, in the sense of a record with your name on it — there is no account to make. Saved farms, season reminders and your light/dark preference live in your browser's local storage on your device; we have no copy, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Location
If you tap “Use my location,” your browser gives us your coordinates and they are sent to our server with the search, because the search itself runs there. We round them to about 110 metres first — the smallest radius the site offers is 25 miles, so nothing is lost from the answer — and we don't store them or attach them to anything. They do appear in our host's ordinary server logs, which Vercel keeps for a short period and we don't mine.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-E0GPYJMH2X) on every page. It sets first-party cookies in your browser to recognise a returning visit, and reports to Google the pages you view, the site you arrived from, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser. We use it to see which pages are worth improving. Any extension that blocks Google Analytics, or your browser's cookie controls, stops it.
Advertising
There are no ads on this site, and no ad network is loaded — nothing on these pages sets an advertising cookie. If that changes, this section changes with it, in the same deploy.
The contact form
A message sent through the contact form reaches us by email through Resend, our email provider, along with the address you give so we can reply. We keep the message. Nothing else is attached to it.
