Smith County Farmer' Market
Smith Center, KS
Common Ground Producers and Growers is a mobile farmers market and food hub. It is a family-run agricultural organization based in Wichita, Kansas, operating the state’s longest-running Mobile farmers market and food hub. Founded in 2014 by multi-generational farmer and CEO Donna Pearson McClish, the organization was established to eliminate food insecurity by delivering fresh, locally grown produce directly into neighborhoods with limited access to healthy food. Guided by the motto “All are fed. No one is hungry.” Common Ground operates on Pearson’s Family Farms—the largest Black-owned urban farm in the region. On the farm, Common Ground aggregates, processes, and distributes Kansas-grown fruits and vegetables sourced from more than 40 farmers statewide. The mobile farmers market and food hub currently serves 37 locations across 10 cities and 4 counties, while ensuring equitable compensation for farmers and maintaining affordable prices for customers.
