Firefly Garden & Homestead

Columbus, Indiana

The USDA directory still lists this place, but hasn't updated its record since 2023 — hours, phone and website may be out of date.

Instead of just focusing on family staples, Firefly Gardens also includes rare heirloom varieties that you may not have heard of or otherwise not have the opportunity to try. Some of these Varieties include the art of taste datil, lemon basil, heirloom tomatoes, and much more. We have add on products such as, our bread and bakery shares, Coffee from our roastery, tea, eggs, honey and medicinal herbs. Currently We are not certified Organic, but we do follow all Organic practices. We do not use any herbicide or pesticides. We focus on creating habitats for natural predators and natural mulching techniques. Our gardens are fertilized only with our onsite compost which is comprised of organic material, leaves and clippings from our garden and food scraps from our homestead.
