Christmas Trees in New York typically run Nov through Dec, with peak picking in Dec. Cooler northern and higher-elevation farms tend to ripen a week or two later than the southern part of the state.
Most U-pick farms are walk-up, but popular ones sell out of ripe fruit on weekend mornings. Call ahead or check the farm's page for the day's picking conditions — many post a daily 'open / picked out' status.
Pricing is usually by the pound or by a pre-filled container, at roughly market price or a little below with the experience thrown in. Bring cash as a backup, though most farms accept cards and many accept SNAP.
Filter by amenity to find farms with restrooms, picnic areas, wagon rides and pet-friendly fields — look for the amenity tags on each listing.
